GUADA BAS: Owner/Instructor
Guada danced professionally for twelve years with the The Phillipine Ballet Theatre as their principal dancer. She has taught ballet and jazz to children and adults all over the world at professional as well as beginning levels. She is a certified Pilates trainer, and has a vast array of experience in fitness training having worked with everyday individuals as well as Olympians. She is also a Niyolates, TRX and GYROTONIC® Certified Teacher. Guada is the proud mother of Jude, and is dedicated to bringing movement and fun to those around her.

HOLLY BENGE: Owner/Instructor
Holly has experienced first-hand the enormous physical changes and emotional benefits of GYROTONIC® and Niyolates. She has been a certified teacher in each of these for 9 years and feels privileged to share the gifts of these disciplines with her students. In addition, she has a personal training certification from The Cooper Institute and is certified in both TRX and MadDog Spinning. Holly has two adult children and has been a proud member of the Maplewood community for over 20 years.

BETHANY PETTIGREW: Owner/Instructor
Bethany received an M.S. degree in dance and Physical Education from Indiana University where she also danced in the Bill Evans Dance Company. Bethany performed in CATS on Broadway as well as in the National Tour and German companies. She has worked on numerous Broadway shows but finds the most fulfillment directing the musicals at Columbia High School. When she’s not at Studio 509 Bethany works as a children’s casting director and baby wrangler for Huggies. She is the mom to three great kids and excited to bring these wonderful classes to the studio and the community! She is a Niyolates, TRX and GYROTONIC®  certified teacher.

NERISSA ASCHOFF: Instructor 

Nerissa’s fitness instruction is inspired and influenced by her classical ballet training, martial arts experience, yoga practice, love of high intensity interval training, and running background. It is a mindful experience that focuses on proper alignment and form, whether at the barre, on the mat, or incorporating weights. Her classes strive to strengthen, lengthen, and tone. She also teaches dance enrichment to preschool-aged children and is actively involved in her children’s schools.

ALLYSON WEISS: Instructor
Allyson Weiss grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in Short Hills with her two children. She graduated with a BA in Dance from the University of Maryland. After college, she moved to NYC and danced with a few small companies. Allyson then worked as a personal trainer at the Sports Club/LA and Equinox when she lived both in NYC and Los Angeles. “I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the Studio 509 community. The people here are, simply, the best!!

SEAN COOPER (D.M.A): Instructor
Sean Cooper (D.M.A.), has taught acting and singing at the university level, directed several operas and musicals and performed in operas both in the US and internationally.  For much of his adult life he has studied various movement disciplines including yoga, the Alexander Technique and dance. He is a certified TRX instructor and in the final stages of obtaining his Registered Yoga Teacher status with Yoga Alliance. Sean lives in Maplewood with his wife and three kids. His goal is to cultivate positivity wherever he goes.
